Health minister Dame Andrea Leadsom claimed on Sky News that junior doctors have had a “more than 10% pay rise”.
This isn’t true for most junior doctors in England last year. Those in their first year got a 10.3% increase to their basic pay, but most junior doctors got less.
A video of trainers with an Israeli flag design has been shared online with the suggestion they were customised by Nike.
That’s not correct. The pair of trainers shown in the video weren’t customised by Nike, but by an artist who is not affiliated with the brand.
Posts on social media have claimed a photo shows the union flag flying at half-mast over Buckingham Palace recently.
The photo is an old image. It was taken on 8 September 2022, and shows the flag at half-mast following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
