A photo is being shared online with captions suggesting it shows a protest after the recent brief declaration of martial law in South Korea.
This isn’t correct. The image is actually of a protest calling for the South Korean president’s resignation on 30 November, three days before he announced martial law.
The Prime Minister claimed in posts to his social media accounts that “South Western Railway is now back in public control”.
This isn’t quite correct. South Western Railway will not pass into public ownership until May 2025, when the extension of its national rail contract expires.
