4 April: unqualified teachers, a slump in house building, and online porn

4 April 2015

Nicola Sturgeon is all over the front pages this morning.

Not all the newspapers are preoccupied with that particular spat, though. The Sun has led with Conservative plans to toughen up regulation on underage access to online pornography.

Labour, meanwhile, are going to announce plans to fund more homes for first-time buyers later today. The BBC reports they'll say house building is at its lowest level for nearly 100 years. We've looked at this before—it's true if you look only at peacetime completions of homes.

Elsewhere teachers' union NASUWT have published a survey on unqualified teachers. We're taking a look.
