This isn’t a reliable estimate. There have clearly been very many victims, but the true total remains unclear.
Foreign secretary David Lammy said on the BBC’s Today programme that Russia had “lost 45,000 troops, dead, in November alone”.
The 45,000 figure actually appears to refer to an estimate shared by the Ministry of Defence for the number who were either killed or wounded.
Footage has been shared online supposedly showing fire surrounding the famous Hollywood sign in Los Angeles.
This video isn’t real. At the time it was shared online the Hollywood sign had not been on fire, and there had been no fires in its immediate vicinity.
