Industry minister Sarah Jones claimed in Parliament that the IMF and OECD have predicted the UK’s economy will be Europe’s fastest-growing over the next few years.

This is not what the latest IMF and OECD projections show. After being contacted by Full Fact, Ms Jones has now formally corrected the record in Hansard.

Ministerial correction

A video clip has been shared online with claims it shows the BBC’s Ukraine correspondent caught joking about President Trump and President Zelenskyy’s White House meeting.

The audio on this clip has been faked. The BBC correspondent in question has suggested it may have been AI-generated.
