House building is at a low
10 April 2014
In response to figures showing a recovery in house sales, Shadow Housing Minister Emma Reynolds MP said: "Under this Government house building has fallen to its lowest levels in peacetime since the 1920s."
We've looked at a similar claim before, and found that this is accurate.
As we've covered in the past, the 'peacetime' distinction has sometimes been missed out, something that ignores the large slump in house building that went along with the second world war.
