Annual net migration above 250,000?
"The Conservative Party has promised to reduce net immigration to the UK to under 100,000, but the annual total remains above 250,000"
Daily Telegraph, 6 March 2014
The annual total isn't above 250,000 and hasn't been since the year ending December 2010.
Net migration — the number of people moving to the UK minus the number leaving it — has increased recently though. The latest figures from the ONS show net migration at 212,000 (year ending September 2013).
