A photo of Remain supporters holding a burning Union Flag has been edited.

Our verdict

It is correct that the image has been edited.

A number of Facebook posts have claimed that an image showing Remain supporters with burning a Union Flag is edited. 

It is correct that the image has been manipulated. A photo from protests in March 2019 has been edited to add the burning flag. 

The original image of the burning flag comes from a video of a protest in Argentina regarding the Falklands, which has also been falsely attributed to Remain supporters.
