Social media posts falsely claiming 20 million votes have gone “missing” in the 2024 US presidential election have been widely shared online.

This is incorrect. Votes are still being counted and the full results have not yet been announced, although enough have been counted to confirm Donald Trump won.

We’ve updated our deep dive into Labour’s disputed claim it inherited a £22 billion “black hole” after the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) published a review of its March 2024 forecast.

The review found that the Treasury knew of an estimated £9.5 billion of additional spending pressures that were not made known to the OBR, but it said it was not possible to know how much higher their forecast would have been.

According to online posts, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said people should “learn Arabic” to “create harmony”.

But there’s no evidence Mr Khan has ever actually said this, and a spokesperson for the Mayor referred to the claims as “nonesense”.
