We’ve seen several claims about how the number of hotels used to house asylum seekers has changed under Labour, many of which are inaccurate or misleading.
The number of asylum hotels has fallen by about 200 since 2023, but almost all these closures took place under the previous Conservative government.
A photo showing a street flying England flags has been shared following the recent “Raise the Colours” campaign, with claims it shows homes decorated by five veterans.
This is misleading. The road was decorated like this for a 2023 Nike commercial, and was the backdrop for a scene featuring Lioness Chloe Kelly.
A widely shared post on Facebook falsely claims that Covid vaccines caused a tripling of miscarriage and cancer rates, and a tenfold rise in neurological disorders.
These numbers were based on faulty data. The corrected figures were far lower, and didn’t show the vaccines caused a rise in these conditions.
