Elise joined Full Fact in September 2026. Previously, she co-founded foodfacts.org and served as its Director of Research for two years, overseeing its work fact checking nutrition and health misinformation. Elise has a PhD in Cognitive Linguistics, and is particularly interested in how misinformation and disinformation narratives develop and spread, and in finding ways to improve public debate.
